CEO + Partner Kristal Hassler joined TKCPA in 2001. Prior to joining TKCPA, she spent nine years working at a large regional CPA firm. Kristal not only has deep roots in the Walla Walla area, but grew up on a farm and understands local industry business needs. Kristal’s extensive tax and business planning experience along with her passion for helping small businesses thrive, have proven her to be a great leader of TKCPA. In addition to running the Walla Walla office, Kristal staffs TKCPA’s Moses Lake office to best serve her clients. When Kristal is not working, you are likely to find her working in her garden, cooking, enjoying great wines of the region or traveling.
Teri Wagner, CPA

Client Manager
Since 1989 Teri has been practicing accounting. Earlier in her career, Teri worked with TKCPA for eight years, then worked from her home office in both private and public accounting while her children were young. Teri re-joined TKCPA full time in January 2014. As Client Manager, Teri serves clients through business and high-wealth consulting, along with managing the trust and estate department at TKCPA. In her free time, Teri enjoys exploring the Oregon coast with her husband and two daughters and working in her flower garden.
Carrie Shelton, CPA

Client Manager
After spending four years with a CPA firm in Seattle, Carrie joined TKCPA in 2004. As a Manager, her responsibilities include preparing individual, partnership, corporation, trust, and gift tax returns, as well as assisting clients with bookkeeping and payroll reports. Carrie has three active boys that keep her on the go. When she does have time to slow down, she enjoys quilting, reading and snowmobiling.
Ellen Camp, CPA

Ellen moved to Walla Walla with over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and both public and private accounting. Prior to joining TKCPA in 2006, she worked for a CPA firm located in Scottsdale, Arizona for four years. Ellen prepares tax returns, compilations, and reviews, as well as payroll reports. In her free time, Ellen stays active with swimming, running and biking. She also likes to get lost in a good book.
Darlene Wilson
Darlene Wilson
Darlene joined TKCPA in September of 2017 with 10 ½ years of public accounting experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Linfield College in both Accounting and Mathematics. As a Manager, her responsibilities include preparing compilations, reviews, and tax returns as well as assisting clients with bookkeeping services. Darlene grew up on a family farm in the Walla Walla area of which she and her husband and their son reside today. When Darlene is not helping her husband on the family farm or busy with her son’s activities, she enjoys traveling and staying active in the great outdoors either horseback riding, hunting, camping, or snowmobiling.
Matt Quistberg, EA

Client Manager
Matt joined TKCPA in 2001. He prepares tax returns, provides bookkeeping services and QuickBooks support, and assists with IT administration. Matt earned his Associate of Arts and Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences in Accounting degrees from Walla Walla Community College. Matt enjoys singing and making music and stays active with bicycling and volunteering as a baseball umpire.
Beth A. Newton

Client Accounting Specialist
Beth joined the team at TKCPA in 2012. She is responsible for individual income tax returns, preparing financial statements, and processing payroll including check writing and quarterly and year-end tax reporting. She also researches and resolves payroll discrepancies. Beth studied accounting at Walla Walla Community College. In her free time, Beth enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening and playing the piano.

Hillary joined the firm as a staff accountant in October of 2015. Her duties at TKCPA include bookkeeping, preparing individual and partnership returns, and creating payroll reports. She earned her Associates of Applied Arts and Sciences in Accounting Technology from Walla Walla Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Eastern Oregon University. When Hillary isn’t working, she enjoys horseback riding, hunting and likes to travel.

Jennifer joined the firm in October, 2016. As the Client Accounting Specialist, and her duties include preparing individual trust and estate returns. With over ten years of banking and Investment Compliance, she ensures quality control and security standards are met. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University. After graduation, she spent over ten years working in Compliance and Investment Banking. Jennifer enjoys traveling, boating, running, and gardening.
Rebecca Reid

Rebecca is one of our more recent additions to both the Walla Walla Valley and TKCPA. With over 30 years of bookkeeping experience, she is well versed in the ins-and-outs of accounting. A graduate of the University of Hawaii, the University of Alaska, and Florida Southern College, she also holds a certification as a State of Alaska Procurement Officer. Outside of work she loves gardening, cooking, baking, cross country skiing, hiking, and spending time on the water, and traveling. Some of her favorite spots she’s visited in her life include Toad River, British Columbia, Madison, Wisconsin, and Seward, Alaska. Around town she loves dining at Olive Marketplace & Cafe and enjoying ice cream from Bright’s Candies.
Dan Aguilar

Client Experience Ambassador
A Walla Walla native, Dan studied Accounting at Walla Walla Community College, and has been working in the industry for 18 years, before recently joining the team at TKCPA. Outside of work he loves reading, walking his dog, watching his kids play soccer and softball, watching football, and dining on sushi. He also loves to travel, and some of his favorite trips have been to Mexico, Jamaica, and China.

Arielle joined the TKCPA team in 2017 as a Client Accounting Specialist. She graduated from Washington State University where she earned a Masters of Accounting degree and a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Arielle is from Medical Lake, Washington, a small town near Spokane, where she enjoys cooking and baking, doing crafts, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Kristine joined TKCPA in 2012, and assists with client services, payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative duties. She brings 15 years of experience in accounting, underwriting, customer service, and human resources, which makes her an ideal candidate for her position. Kristine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Gustavus Adolphus College. In addition to being our office notary, Kristine keeps busy with her husband and four children who are active in multi-sport activities. She also enjoys scrapbooking and family walks with their dogs, Abby and Stella.
Anne Riney

Director of Operations
Anne joined TKCPA in the fall 2016. As a Director of Operations, her duties include managing client and staff needs, marketing, and is also our on-boarding champion.. Anne received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Eastern Oregon University in Multidisciplinary Studies with a minor in History. Before becoming a stay at home mom, she taught for eight years and has enjoyed substitute teaching in the Walla Walla area for the past five years. Anne has been involved in her daughters’ school as a Vice President, President and Parliamentarian of the Home and School Committee, and as a 4-H leader in Walla Walla. Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with her family in outdoor sporting activities.

Shawna joined TKCPA in the winter of 2017. As a Client Experience Ambassador, her responsibilities include taking care of client needs and general office duties. Shawna received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Puget Sound in Communication Studies. During her time in college, Shawna was a member of the college volleyball team, as well as an active member of the fraternity, Alpha Phi. In addition to working at TKCPA, Shawna is an assistant volleyball coach at Walla Walla Community College. In her free time, Shawna enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jeannie joined TKCPA in May of 2018. Her responsibilities include bookkeeping, and specializes in wineries. Prior to joining TKCPA Jeannie worked at Corliss Winery for just short of 9 years, and prior to that she was employed at Key Technology for 13 years. Jeannie attended Ricks College in Rexburg, ID. Jeannie has been married to Craig Rouse for 34 years and has 3 adult children. Outside of the office, Jeannie enjoys spending time with family, camping and boating, and traveling.
